"The two most important days in your life are the day you were born, and the day you find out why."
— Mark Twain
I was Courtney's first doula client and so far, the longest laborer she's had. I'm pregnant again and she was one of the first people I told. I feel confident in her skills and totally trust her. "
Had an wonderful birth experience because of this lady! As everyone said very knowledgable about everything pregnancy, labor, postpartum. I suffered a serious illness two weeks prior to labor and she went above and beyond to educate herself on my condition and its effects on pregnancy, labor, and lactation. She provided unconditional support throughout the whole process. Her laid back and nonjudgemental attitude made me feel more relaxed during a very challenging time. Most importantly she was a huge helping hand for my husband. I'm almost three months postpartum and she continues to be a source of support and information I know I can count on. Would highly recommend her regardless of what type of birth you choose!"
I WISH there was a 10 stars option because 5 just is not enough! I can not stress enough how important Courtney's role was in our Natural Hospital Birth. For every little "road block" I hit, I felt like she had a solution. She helped My husband by showing him ways to help me while she would pull another "trick" out of her bag lol. Hip squeezes are A gift to a laboring woman!! I seriously couldn't have done it without her. Doula's are truly unsung heroes that are worth their weight in gold! I am so thankful we decided to use one! After 12 hours of unmedicated labor, I feel amazing and I owe so much of it to her!"
Courtney was our doula at our most recent child's birth. Professional, and caring while on point with my wife's needs before, during, and after the birth of our daughter. I would recommend her services to anyone looking."
We delivered a 10 lb. 9 oz baby boy all naturally the day after Thanksgiving at Mobile Infirmary. Courtney was our doula. She set up the room in a spa like style. She diffused essential oils and put candles all around the room. She set it up to be a home-like as possible. She had a variety of snacks to feed me while I labored around the room and had great suggestions for my husband to try. We also met with Courtney a few times prior to the birth to go over a birth plan and get prepared. I really can't say enough great things about the support Courtney provided us both during pregnancy and childbirth. It was truly the most amazing day of my life being able to bring our son into this world without exposing him to unneeded drugs and interventions like we faced when I had my daughter without a doula 3 years ago."
Courtney was absolutely amazing throughout my pregnancy and labor & delivery! She always made me feel empowered and I didn't have any fear about giving birth. Her insight in all things birth is astounding, from prenatal yoga to massage techniques during contractions. I labored for 36 hours before having a cesarean and she was right there with my husband and I. From laboring in every position I could manage and on into the operating room taking pictures that we will forever cherish. The level of support she provided is what every woman needs during child birth.
Courtney was my wonderful Doula for the home birth of my fourth baby. She provided support before birth, suggesting ways to help my posterior baby turn through Spinning Babies and chiro care. She made my husband and I confident that our birth experience would be exactly as we pictured it-full of love and support. I labor pretty quickly, so I was already completely dilated when she arrived. I didn't notice her walk through the door, but my labor experience immediately changed. She went to work rubbing my shoulders, putting a warm rice sock on my back, doing double hip squeezes, and so much more. She suggested positions and kept me relaxed through my contractions instead of fighting through them. She did not take the place of my husband, but rather freed him up to support me emotionally and took some of the pressure off of him. Courtney also provided support after the birth and ensured our transition was smooth. I can't believe we went without a doula for our first three births, and I absolutely would never birth without her again! Such a wonderful, supported experience. Thank you, Courtney!
